Design
The Garmin Fenix 6X Saphire is the flagship model of the 6 series, characterized by a large, robust and high-quality design. The casing is made of stainless steel or titanium, with an extremely scratch-resistant sapphire glass that protects the display. The watch has an imposing diameter and is designed to withstand military durability standards. Control is via five tactical buttons, ensuring reliable functionality in all conditions, including underwater (water resistance up to 10 ATM).
Display
The 1.4-inch Transflective MIP (Memory-in-Pixel) display is 36% larger than that of previous Fenix models, ensuring better readability of maps and statistics. The screen uses ambient light to improve visibility and is therefore easy to read in direct sunlight. The resolution of 280 x 280 pixels, combined with the durability of the sapphire glass, makes it a functional and indestructible screen for outdoor activities.
Performance
The Fenix 6X Saphire is a top-class multisport GPS computer. It features advanced sensors, including an optical heart rate monitor, Pulse Ox sensor (oxygen saturation), and a complete set of navigation sensors (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, barometric altimeter, 3-axis compass and gyroscope). The watch offers preloaded TopoActive maps of Europe and several ski areas. Performance focuses on detailed physiological measurements such as VO2 max, recovery times and Training Load Focus.
Battery
The rechargeable lithium-ion battery offers exceptionally long life. In smartwatch mode, the battery lasts up to 21 days. With continuous use of GPS and music this is approximately 15 hours. Customizable Power Manager settings allow the user to extend battery life by limiting functionality, making the watch suitable for ultra-long events and expeditions.
Software and Connectivity
The watch runs on the advanced Garmin platform and offers a wide range of sport profiles and advanced features. It syncs via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi with the Garmin Connect app. It supports smart notifications, music storage (up to 2000 songs) and contactless payments via Garmin Pay. Connectivity also includes ANT+ for connecting external sensors and accessories. The software offers a wealth of navigation and performance tools.
