This choice of material ensures a lower weight and improved wearing comfort. The case has a diameter of 41 mm and a thickness of 12.3 mm, making the watch compact and suitable for both small and medium wrists. The finish is sleek and minimalist, with interchangeable straps for personalization.
Screen
The 1.2-inch AMOLED screen delivers a high resolution of 450 x 450 pixels and a maximum brightness of 1000 nits. This ensures a clear and sharp image, even in direct sunlight. The always-on display continuously shows the time and relevant information, while remaining energy efficient. The display is rounded at the edges and protected with strong Gorilla Glass 5.
Performance
With the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 processor and 2GB of RAM, the Pixel Watch 2 offers fast and responsive performance in everyday use. Navigating through menus, opening apps and interacting with Google Assistant are smooth. The watch runs on Wear OS 4, which provides improved performance, energy savings and better sync with Android devices. Although this model does not include LTE functionality, all features are available via a paired smartphone connection.
Battery
The 306 mAh battery provides up to 24 hours of use, including the always-on display. Thanks to the fast charging function, the battery can be charged up to 50% in about 30 minutes. Full charging takes less than 80 minutes, which is ideal for users who want to use the watch for health monitoring both during the day and while sleeping.
Software and Connectivity
The Pixel Watch 2 runs on Wear OS 4 and integrates seamlessly with Google services such as Assistant, Maps, Calendar and Gmail. The watch connects to Android smartphones via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The extensive sensors include an optical heart rate monitor, ECG, SpO2, skin temperature sensor, barometer, compass and EDA sensor for stress detection. Thanks to Fitbit integration, the watch offers in-depth health and fitness analytics, including automatic exercise recognition, sleep tracking and irregular heart rate notifications. Google Wallet (NFC) is available for contactless payments.
