Design
The Garmin Fenix 7X Solar has a rugged design with a solid 51mm case made of fiber-reinforced polymer with a steel or titanium bezel and back. The watch is built to military standards (MIL-STD-810) for heat, shock and water resistance up to 10 ATM. Unique to the 7X housing is the integrated LED flashlight on the top. Thanks to the Power Glass solar panel, the lens maintains a durable appearance with improved solar energy efficiency.
Display
The 1.40-inch MIP display is easy to read in direct sunlight and features a responsive touchscreen combined with traditional button controls. The touchscreen functionality can easily be disabled during activities to prevent accidental touches. The Power Glass lens captures sunlight to extend battery life in smartwatch mode for up to 37 days.
Performance
The updated Garmin chipset delivers fast map processing and accurate data processing. With the addition of Multi-Band GNSS technology, the Fenix 7X Solar provides superior position accuracy, even in challenging environments such as dense forests or tall buildings. The Elevate Gen 4 optical heart rate sensor, Pulse Ox, barometric altimeter and compass provide continuous, high-quality performance tracking.
Software and Connectivity
The Fenix 7X Solar runs on Garmin's advanced operating system with new features such as Real-Time Stamina, Up Ahead route points and integrated TopoActive maps that can be downloaded directly via Wi-Fi. Connectivity via Bluetooth, ANT+ and Wi-Fi enables wireless synchronization with Garmin Connect, music storage (Spotify, Deezer, Amazon Music), Garmin Pay contactless payment and the pairing of all common external sensors.
