Design
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 has a new folding mechanism that closes seamlessly, without a visible opening at the hinge. The device is compact and when folded fits easily into a pocket or bag. The casing is made of Armor Aluminum with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front and back, which provides a sturdy and premium finish. The device is IPX8 water resistant and available in various stylish colors.
Screen
The main screen is a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a resolution of 2640 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. This ensures smooth animations and sharp images, ideal for multimedia and scrolling. The 3.4-inch cover screen is now much larger than its predecessor, with a resolution of 720 x 748 pixels, and offers full functionality for notifications, widgets and quick replies without opening the device.

Thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chipset, the Z Flip5 offers excellent performance, both for daily use and more demanding applications such as multitasking and gaming. The 8GB RAM ensures smooth changes between apps, and the optimization of Samsung's One UI delivers a smooth user experience.
Battery
The 3700 mAh battery offers decent battery life for a folding phone, with software optimizations that limit power consumption. Thanks to 25W fast charging, the device can be charged to 50% in about half an hour. It also supports 15W wireless charging and 4.5W reverse wireless charging for accessories.
Software and Connectivity
The Galaxy Z Flip5 runs on Android 13 with Samsung's One UI 5.1.1, and gets several years of Android and security updates. In terms of connectivity, it supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 and NFC.
