Design
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 has a foldable design with an Armor Aluminum frame and a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ back. The device measures 155.1 x 67.1 x 14.2 to 15.8 mm when closed and 155.1 x 130.1 x 6.3 mm when opened, with a weight of 263 grams. The housing has an IPX8 certification for water resistance (immersion up to 1.5 meters deep for 30 minutes) and features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and support for the S Pen.
Screen
The flexible 7.6-inch main screen offers a QXGA+ resolution of 2176 x 1812 pixels and a dynamic refresh rate of 1Hz to 120Hz for smooth viewing. The external 6.2-inch HD+ cover screen has a 23.1:9 ratio and automatically adjusts the refresh rate between 48Hz and 120Hz. Both screens use Dynamic AMOLED 2X technology with HDR10+ support.
Performance
Powered by the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor built on a 4nm process, coupled with 12GB of RAM. This hardware configuration delivers optimal performance for demanding multitasking, productivity apps and mobile games on the big screen. The internal storage capacity ranges from 256GB and 512GB to 1TB of fast UFS 3.1 storage, without the option of expansion via a microSD card.
Battery and Ports
The device is equipped with a 4400 mAh dual lithium-ion battery. Charging is via the USB Type-C 3.2 port with support for 25W wired fast charging (up to 50% in about 30 minutes), 15W fast wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare for reverse wireless charging of accessories. Wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, 5G, NFC, Ultra Wideband (UWB) technology, stereo speakers and full support for Samsung DeX.
