Design
The iPad 6 (2018) has a classic design with an aluminum unibody and rounded corners. The casing is sturdy and feels premium, despite the traditional appearance with thicker screen bezels. The physical home button includes Touch ID for easy unlocking.
Screen
The 9.7-inch Retina display delivers bright colors and sharp details thanks to the high resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. Although the screen is not laminated and does not have an anti-reflective coating, it remains excellent for surfing, watching videos and drawing with the Apple Pencil (1st generation).
Performance
Thanks to the Apple A10 Fusion chip, the iPad 6 offers smooth performance for everyday use, such as browsing, multitasking and light gaming. More demanding apps such as drawing programs or educational AR applications are also well supported.
Software and Connectivity
The iPad 6 runs on iOS 11 as standard but is upgradeable to iPadOS 15. It supports Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2 and has a 3.5 mm headphone jack. There is no mobile network support on this Wi-Fi model.
