Design

The Samsung Galaxy Watch8  combines a sleek, minimalist design with a high-quality finish, specifically optimized for a smaller wrist. The watch case is made of lightweight Armor Aluminum, which provides excellent scratch resistance without feeling heavy during daily use or intensive training. The watch features excellent robustness with an IP68 and 5 ATM certification for dust and water resistance, making it fully suitable for swimming. In addition, the case meets military MIL-STD-810H durability standards and uses a universal 20mm watch strap clasp.

Display

The round 1.34-inch Super AMOLED display provides a razor-sharp visual experience with a resolution of 438 x 438 pixels. The panel has undergone a significant upgrade in lighting and reaches an impressive maximum peak brightness of up to 3000 nits. This guarantees flawless readability of all your notifications and fitness data under direct and bright sunlight. The screen supports a smooth Always-On mode and is effectively protected against scratches and hard impacts by a top layer of premium scratch-resistant Sapphire Crystal glass.

Performance

Under the hood is the advanced Exynos W1000 chipset, built on a highly efficient 3nm process with a penta-core architecture. In combination with 2GB RAM, this ensures a very fast, responsive interface and smooth animations. The smartwatch is equipped with 32GB of internal storage space for offline music playlists and applications. For extremely accurate route and speed registration during outdoor activities, the hardware has a Dual-Frequency GPS system (L1+L5), which maintains stable performance between dense high-rise buildings or in wooded environments.

Battery

The built-in 325 mAh lithium-ion battery is precisely matched to the energy efficiency of the 3nm processor. As a result, the watch delivers a reliable battery life of up to 40 hours with regular use with activated health tracking. To extend usage time during long days, the advanced software optimizes energy consumption through various energy saving modes. Charging is quick and easy via the included magnetic fast charging system, allowing the battery to be fully charged for a new training session in a short time.

Software and Connectivity

The smartwatch runs on Wear OS with Samsung's own One UI Watch interface, which is deeply integrated with advanced Galaxy AI functionalities. The integrated BioActive Sensor accurately measures your heart rate, ECG, blood pressure, blood oxygen (SpO2) and body composition (BIA), while artificial intelligence analyzes your sleep quality and calculates a personalized 'Energy Score' every day. In terms of connectivity, the watch offers Bluetooth 5.3, dual-band WiFi and an NFC chip for contactless payments. The optional LTE variant also offers complete independence via an eSIM card.
