The device is available in a range of striking colors and has rounded corners for a comfortable grip. Face ID is integrated into the notch on the front, and the home button is completely missing.
Screen
The 6.1-inch Liquid Retina display is an LCD panel with wide color reproduction and True Tone technology. Despite the lower resolution compared to OLED screens, the display offers a good viewing experience with accurate colors and sharp text. Haptic Touch enables fast interactions without 3D Touch.
Performance
Thanks to the A12 Bionic chip, the iPhone XR delivers excellent performance. The combination of the powerful processor and 3GB RAM makes the device fast and responsive in daily use, with multitasking and with graphically intensive apps and games.
Battery
The battery capacity of 2942 mAh ensures a solid operating time, often more than a day with normal use. Fast charging up to 50% in about 30 minutes is possible with a suitable adapter. Wireless charging via the Qi standard is also supported.
Software and Connectivity
The iPhone XR was launched with iOS 12 and is compatible with several later iOS versions. The device supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, NFC for Apple Pay and GPS. There is room for one nano SIM card, but thanks to eSIM, dual SIM functionality is available.
